About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at BUMC South Tucson, located at 2800 E Ajo Way. This is a 3×12 night shift position for an 89-day assignment beginning July 13, 2026. You will earn $2,446.20 per week.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, including discharge planning. You will review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and the medical plan of care
  • Coordinating, delegating, and supervising health care team activities to implement the plan of care
  • Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
  • Documenting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records

Required Qualifications:

  • Arizona RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Level III Trauma Center experience
  • Current TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS certifications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Experience with psychiatric patients in an ED setting preferred
  • PALS certification preferred but not required

You will work with patients in a high-acuity environment and must be prepared to use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
