Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a travel assignment lasting 84 days, starting June 22, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• $1,814.40 weekly
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed; blackout dates include Spring Break (April 4–12)
• No on-call requirements

Role Details

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 32-room unit with an average daily census of 29 and a patient ratio of 1:6. Charge RN experience is requested. You must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Isolation precautions, wound care and wound vac management
• Nasal cannula and high-flow nasal cannula administration
• Chest tube management
• IV insertion and PICC line management
• Blood product administration
• Feeding tube care and management
• Epic charting system; familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication

Requirements

• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Full compliance with requirements to start on time; failure to comply may result in a 2-week assignment pushback

Holiday and Floating Expectations

You may float within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Holiday work is required as follows: work 1 major holiday if 1 falls during your assignment; work both if 2 fall during your assignment; work 2 out of 3 if 3 fall during your assignment. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
