Pediatric Cardiology RN Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pediatric Cardiology program. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week, scheduled 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Your Role

You will provide pre- and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular, electrophysiology, and interventional catheterization procedures. Your patient load includes neonates through geriatric congenital cardiac patients. Daily responsibilities encompass sedated studies, clinic visits, cardiac surgical workups, and patient monitoring across a census of 8 patients in 6 rooms. Staff typically remain until the last patient is discharged or admitted, rarely extending past 7:00 PM.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina RN license required before start date
• Minimum 2+ years RN experience, preferably in pediatric ICU or procedural care nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency with EKG, glucometer, and istat equipment

Work Environment

You will benefit from self-scheduling with team coordination. A minimum of 2 Monday and 2 Friday shifts per month is required. There is no floating to other units or sister facilities. The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. All employees are assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).

You will receive 24 hours of orientation to support your transition into this role.

Compensation and Duration

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,892.16.
