PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
• May be required to float between PCU units or to med-surg floors
• Work with equipment including BiPAPs, high flow O2, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vacs
• Document using Meditech system
• Perform hourly rounding on days and every 2-hour rounding on nights
• Follow AIDET communication standards and maintain communication boards
• Must have critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation experience
• Must have cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip experience
• Experience with BiPAPs, high flow O2, and multiple oxygen delivery systems required
• Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care required
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tubes required
• Peripheral IV skills required
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and wound vac troubleshooting
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Required dress code: Black scrubs
• Self-scheduling utilized with 4-week schedule blocks
