PCU Job in New Albany, IN

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in New Albany, Indiana. This is a travel nursing position offering 3x12 night shifts with a start date of May 18, 2026, and a 91-day duration. You will earn $2,229.12 weekly.

Role Overview

You will work in a 16-bed general medical intermediate care unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:4 on nights. Your responsibilities include administering and monitoring cardiac drips such as Cardizem/Diltiazem, Cardene, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, and Milrinone. You will also handle insulin drips, care for patients in respiratory distress (excluding ventilator management), perform sheath pulls, and manage other PCU-specific nursing tasks. On-call and floating are expected.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Prior work experience in Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Med-Surg/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, or Telemetry
• Epic charting system experience
• NIH stroke scale certification (preferred)
• Black scrubs required
