Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients orally, by injection, or inhalation for diagnostic imaging purposes
• Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort while positioning them appropriately for scanning
• Operate imaging equipment including SPECT/CT scanners
• Process images of the brain, thyroid, bone, heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver using computer systems
• Produce computer-generated images for physician interpretation
• Maintain detailed records of the amount and type of radiopharmaceuticals used and procedures performed
• Follow safety procedures to protect staff and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure
• Maintain current knowledge of advances, innovations, and developments in the nuclear medicine field
• NH license and certification to practice nuclear medicine required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Proficiency with Radiant Epic Access required
• Strong technical, computer, communication, and critical thinking skills required
• Position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Lifting and carrying frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds required
