Med Surg RN Job in Marshall, MI

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical nursing at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan. This is a temporary position running 91 days, starting July 13, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,073.60
• Every other weekend required; holidays required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop and update plans of care in collaboration with patients
• Provide and direct nursing care while evaluating patient outcomes
• Use technology appropriately, adhering to safety standards and infection prevention protocols
• Apply evidence-based tools, established policies, procedures, and standards of care and practice
• Educate patients and family members and document accordingly
• Report actual or potential occurrences according to facility procedures
• Engage in self-assessment, peer review, mandatory education, and competency assessments
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities and staff meetings
• Practice in accordance with Michigan's legal definition of nursing, including delegation and supervision provisions

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications in hand at time of profile upload—facility will not pend certifications
• Medical Surgical skills checklist current within one year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment
• Own vehicle required for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• All requested time off must be noted and verified at time of upload (maximum 5 days accepted; requests after upload or during interview will not be approved)
