CT Technologist Job in Lexington, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist for an 89-day travel assignment in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a first-shift position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts). On-call, weekend, and holiday coverage is required.

About the Role:

• Perform CT procedures, computer processing, and related imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images
• Verify patient orders, patient name, date of birth, and relevant medical history prior to procedures
• Perform and document peripheral venipuncture as necessary for exams
• Continuously monitor patients throughout all exams and procedures
• Complete warm-up and quality control checks on equipment, including room checks and contrast reaction monitoring
• Produce quality images for Radiologist review and verify images are archived to PACS
• Send images to tele-radiology service after hours as instructed
• Perform post-processing for exams per department protocol
• Adjust exam protocols for pediatric patients in accordance with ACR Image Gently guidelines
• Utilize ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles and proper radiation protection for patients and self
• Assist Radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures as necessary
• Participate in image Peer Review and support ACR accreditation efforts as needed
• Order and restock supplies and linens and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
• Wear assigned personal dosimetry at all times
• Document all patient care incidents in the electronic health record
