ICU RN Job in Kearney, NE

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the 10-bed Intensive Care Unit at Kearney Regional Medical Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 13, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,436.48.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required, typically 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per month
• Up to 2 additional mandatory shifts per 6-week period
• Work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year

Clinical Responsibilities

• Maintain 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity
• Care for adults and patients under 8 years of age
• Treat patients with open heart conditions, CHF, COPD, overdoses, sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and neurological conditions
• Manage Day 2 and Day 3 post-operative CABG patients
• Operate IABP, Impella, and CRRT equipment
• Float to PCU and Med Surg as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience including cardiac experience
• Current Nebraska or compact nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• EPIC charting system experience
• Pediatric experience highly preferred

Facility and Work Environment

• Average daily census of 5+ patients in the 10-bed unit
• Navy blue, black, or charcoal grey scrubs required
• Clock out for lunch; punctuality is expected
• Termination likely after 3 call-outs
