Med Surg RN Job in Anniston, AL

RMC Anniston is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit position. You'll work night shifts on a 4x12 schedule with every other weekend required, though a 3x12 option is available. This 56-week travel assignment begins August 3, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,592.

Unit Details

• Patient population: adults and geriatrics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Float to like units as required
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities on an as-needed basis
• 30-minute lunch break required—no skipped meals

Required Clinical Skills

• IV starts
• Isolation precautions
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Blood product administration
• Colostomy and ileostomy management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin and insulin administration
• PCA, PICC line, and peripheral line management
• Surgical drain and nasal cannula care
• Oxygen administration

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Active Alabama nursing license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Fit test completion
• Charting system experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Level II Trauma experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Travel nursing experience
• NIHSS certification

Facility Support

You'll have access to interdisciplinary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy.
