Sterile Processing Technician Job in Washington, DC

You will work as a Sterile Processing Technician at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 4, 2026.

Schedule and Hours

• Work 40 hours per week on a 5 x 8 day shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Orientation: 36 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No floating requirements

Pay and Details

• Weekly pay: $1,313.28
• Assignment duration: 91 days

Required Qualifications

• DC license in hand at time of submission
• IAHCSMM/HSPA, CRCST (HSPA) or CBSPD, and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience
• 3 years of experience with chemical agents for decontamination, handling disinfectants, HLD process and procedure, labeling, aseptic technique, and sterilization wrapping procedures
• VPRO experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment required

Preferred Experience

• Community hospital experience
• Trauma Level I and II experience

Core Skills

• Aseptic technique, biological indicators, and chemical indicators
• Cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Endoscopy procedures
• High-level disinfection and steam sterilization testing
• Handling of various surgical specialty instruments

Onboarding Requirements

• Complete facility-specific Sitel modules within one week of signing contract
• Labs and drug screening appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Submit two supervisor references
