PICU RN Job in Mesa, AZ

You'll provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting at Banner Desert Medical Center. This is a 3×12 night shift position running for 89 days, with a weekly pay of $2,559.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care aligned with organizational policies and professional standards
• Perform thorough patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, including discharge planning
• Review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor staff, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate

Physical requirements: You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You'll need to lift up to 75 pounds and work with standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care experience, with specialty experience in the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
