ICU RN Job in Garden City, KS

St. Catherine Hospital - Garden City is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 10-bed General ICU on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, offering $2,125.44 weekly pay.

Role Details

• 3x12 night shift schedule with self-scheduling and block scheduling options
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• May float within Zone 4 in cases of extreme need; first to float protocol applies
• Up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for shorter assignments)

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and CRRT certifications
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently and escalate as needed
• Proficiency titrating drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized medications
• Experience working in rural healthcare settings and utilizing telehealth for critical care and pulmonology support
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment: CPAP, BiPap, high-flow oxygen, and ventilators

Unit Environment

• Common patient diagnoses: abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Nurse aids available depending on unit volumes
• Onsite hospitalist and respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Electronic charting via EPIC
• Navy blue scrubs required

This position is ideal for an RN seeking rural critical care experience with established support systems and a collaborative team environment. A BSN is not required.
