Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week options
• 13-week contract available
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Float requirement within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24 hours of orientation (2 shifts with preceptor plus EMR education)
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• Required certifications: BCLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Skills required: Telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Must be comfortable with EKG lead placement for telemetry use and ZOLL usage
• Scrubs not provided - must wear navy or white colors
• Fatigue policy: Cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week
• NC or Compact license required
• Epic charting experience preferred
