Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Split lab position rotating between Cardiac, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology
• Weekends included in call schedule
• 9-10 call shifts per 6-week schedule including weekends
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed, including Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Maximum of 7 requested time off dates per contract
• If major holidays fall during assignment period, traveler is expected to work them per holiday policy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ARRT R or CCI RCIS
• Must be proficient in a wide range of procedures including: angioplasty, cardiac ablation, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, carotid stenting, central venous access, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, embolization, endovascular interventions, hemodynamic monitoring, Impella insertion, IVC filter placement, AICD insertion and programming, left and right heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, PCI, PTCA, radiofrequency ablation, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, and upper and lower extremity angiography
• Must be skilled in sterile technique, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, room circulation, EKG lead placement, arrhythmia interpretation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with specialized equipment including Penumbra, Shockwave, EKOS, and MAC lab preferred
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 16 patients across 3 rooms
