Med Surg RN Job in Uniontown, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at WVU Uniontown Hospital, a Trauma Level 2 acute care facility. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 18, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) with two Fridays per schedule
• Work into permanent staff holiday rotation
• Weekly pay: $2,229.12

Clinical Details

• Patient ratio: 1:6-7
• Acute care setting caring for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and chemotherapy patients
• You will manage both clean and isolation patients simultaneously
• Charting system: Cerner
• Drips include Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures—no cardiac drips
• Respiratory support (BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow) managed by respiratory therapy
• Remote telemetry monitored by monitor tech on 3rd floor—no monitors on unit
• Float only to other Med Surg units

Scheduling & Flexibility

• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed as long as unit needs are met
• One shift orientation with a preceptor

Requirements & Dress Code

• Current BLS certification required
• BSN not required
• Navy blue scrubs; jackets, if worn, must also be navy blue

Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
