ICU Registered Nurse Job in Cartersville, GA

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 70-week travel assignment in our ICU float pool. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, earning $1,814.40 weekly, with a start date of July 13, 2026.

In this role, you will float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Step-Down/PCU units. Patient ratios in Med-Surg reach up to 1:7. Every other weekend is required; there is no on-call requirement. Flexible scheduling is essential, and block schedule requests are not accepted.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• ICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications

Required Clinical Skills:

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Suctioning (endotracheal and nasotracheal)
• Titrating cardiac drips
• Titrating vasoactive drips

Assignment Terms:

You may take a maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off during the contract period. Holiday requirements depend on when major holidays fall: if one or two major holidays occur during your assignment, you are expected to work all of them; if three or more major holidays occur, you are expected to work at least two of them.
