About this role

You'll work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, serving adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients across a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

What You'll Do

  • Operate 4 general rooms, 1 SPECT/CT unit, and 2 PET/CT units
  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging including cardiac studies, bone scans, HIDA, renogram, liver/spleen, and infection imaging
  • Conduct SPECT/CT scans including infection imaging, MIBG, WB I-123 and I-131 imaging, and Y-90 imaging
  • Perform PET/CT scanning with FDG, Dotatate, and PSMA protocols
  • Administer therapeutic agents including I-131, Xofigo, and Lutathera
  • Handle IV starts, phlebotomy, and peripheral IV maintenance
  • Manage storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials per protocol
  • Use Cerner charting system and PACS for documentation

What You Need

  • Current ARRT N or NMTCB certification
  • Current ARRT R certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • New Mexico State License (PET license preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year nuclear medicine experience (first-time technologists welcome)
  • Willingness to perform IV starts and phlebotomy

Assignment Details

  • 13-week contract; minimum 10-week duration required
  • 5x8 Days schedule
  • 40 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed 3 call-offs throughout assignment
  • Minimal on-call: Monday–Friday 1600–0600, and one 24-hour weekend shift
  • Weekly pay: $2,640
  • Start date: June 15, 2026
  • Must travel; no local applicants within 100 miles accepted
  • Hunter green scrubs required
