Echo Technologist Job in Cumberland, MD

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at West Central – UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD. You'll work 5 days per week on day shifts, earning $2,541 weekly.

In this role, you will independently perform a full range of cardiac ultrasound imaging procedures, including:

• Transthoracic Echocardiography
• Transesophageal Echocardiography
• Stress Echocardiography
• Echo with contrast studies

You'll obtain echocardiographic images according to department policy and industry standards, utilizing M-Mode, 2D, Doppler, Color Flow Doppler, echo enhancement, bubble studies, and contrast protocols. You will demonstrate proficiency with ultrasound instrumentation, including equipment operations, applications, and scanning techniques to optimize image quality and documentation.

Your responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive procedures while following universal protocol standards, communicating clearly with patients to explain procedures and address concerns, and ensuring all completed exams are properly coded and identified for electronic processing and storage. You will review patient history, assess physician orders, and document findings accurately in electronic medical records.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an Echo Technologist
• Completion of formal training in an accredited ultrasound program or professional equivalent
• Current certification as Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
