ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call expectations unless census drops
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU
• 29-bed general ICU in a level 2 trauma center
• Advanced skills required: ventilator management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Procedures performed on unit include intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, bedside tracheotomy, and PEG tube placement
• Equipment used includes Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV1000 and CCO, Prismalflex CRRT, and Cardiohelp ECMO
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Travelers float first to ED and step-down units
• No CNAs on unit; one telemetry tech available
• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, NIH, ABLS
• Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs
