Medical Laboratory - Cytotechnologist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday schedule
• Read PAP and non-GYN slides with ability to screen 40-80 slides per day on average
• Perform molecular testing on PAP vials and grossing procedures
• Demonstrate technical skill in all aspects of cytology processing, preparation and staining
• Assist in specimen collection as requested
• Maintain computerized patient records
• Screen average of 60-80 slides per day within CAP and Pathologist limits
• Ensure diagnosis is consistently within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis
• Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP registration) required
• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cytotechnologist required
• Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the cytotechnology department
• Graduate from ABHES accredited school of cytotechnology or other HHS approved organization required
• Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from facility
