SLP Job in Bardstown, Kentucky

VNA Health at Home in Bardstown is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026. This is a full-time position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week during day hours with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Role Overview

You will deliver speech-language pathology services in a home health setting, treating approximately 6 patients per day. Your work will focus on common diagnoses including CVA and aphasia patients. You'll maintain documentation in the Homecare Homebase (HCHB) charting system and will have access to a phone and tablet provided by the facility.

Service Area

You must be agreeable to cover all 11 counties across both the Elizabethtown and Bardstown offices. This is a large territory with travel taking over 2.5 hours from corner to corner, so reliable transportation is essential.

Requirements

• Kentucky SLP license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Home health experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) via ASHA
• Professional dress code adherence

Support and Logistics

A 2-week orientation with a work coach is provided to help you transition into the role and become familiar with agency protocols and systems. The facility offers flexibility with a cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.

Compensation

You will earn $2,160 per week for this 91-day assignment. This is a travel position with a fixed duration, giving you predictable work and income for the summer months.
