About this role

You will work as a Surgical Technologist specializing in Cardiothoracic, Vascular, and related surgical procedures at MMC-P Bramhall Campus in Portland, Maine. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning April 26, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

  • 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 36 guaranteed hours weekly
  • 1 in 4 weekends required with 12-hour shifts
  • One overnight trauma call per rotation, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Specialty team call per institutional protocol for Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, and Orthopedic services
  • Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 patient support in the operating room
  • Work with advanced surgical equipment: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot systems
  • Document in Epic EMR system
  • Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • No float requirements to other departments

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
  • Level 1 trauma experience mandatory
  • CST certification required
  • Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent

Preferred Experience

  • General, GU/GYN, Orthopedic trauma, and joint procedures
  • Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, and Plastics
  • Dental and Endovascular procedures

Hospital-issued teal scrubs are provided. You will join an established surgical team at a Level 1 trauma center committed to patient safety and clinical excellence.
