PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched
• Day shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC
• Night shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC
• Every other weekend required
• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace application
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Assist with lumbar drain management and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Utilize Cerner EMR system
• May float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
