ICU Registered Nurse Job in Carlsbad, NM

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the ICU at Carlsbad Medical Center, providing direct patient care on a 3x12 night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. This is a 91-day travel position starting May 4, 2026, with 48 guaranteed hours per week and weekly pay of $2,019.60.

Your Role

In the ICU, you'll provide total care for patients with a ratio of 1:2–3, including ventilator management, titratable drip administration, medication mixing, and hygiene care. You'll also float to the ER and Med Surg departments as needed. When floating to the ER, you'll assist with call lights, medication administration, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws. On Med Surg, you'll either take a full assignment of up to 6 patients or act as an aide for up to 12 patients.

Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU experience
• ER and Med Surg experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• New Mexico state fingerprints required for all travelers
