CVOR RN Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) department. This is a backfill position offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 shifts, Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM with occasional extensions 1–2 times per week
• Duration: 91 days, starting May 25, 2026
• Pay: $2,575.44 per week
• Setting: 4-bed cardiovascular pre-operative unit with 1:1 patient ratios

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-operative patient care in a high-acuity critical care environment
• Perform large-bore IV starts and medication administration
• Conduct skin assessments and assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement
• Prepare patients for surgery, including chin-to-toe hair removal and transport to OR
• Assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin preparation
• Operate GE Carescape monitoring equipment and Fuji ultrasound
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner system
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams and demonstrate strong communication skills
• Float within your scope of practice and experience as needed

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Critical care experience required; pre-operative experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent documentation and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
