PCU Nurse Job in Hilo, Hawaii

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii. You will work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, scheduled for 36 hours per week after your first week of orientation. This is a flex pool position with no guaranteed hours.

In this role, you will float between various medical and surgical units, including the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions). You will work with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical 1:6 for days and evenings (1:8 for nights), Laulima 1:6, and Cardiovascular 1:4. Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.

Requirements:

• Current RN degree
• 2–10 years of nursing experience
• Hawaii nursing license required by start of assignment
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
