Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per schedule
• Holiday requirement working into permanent staff holiday schedule
• Work on 7 West unit with 32 total beds (12 stepdown and 20 floor beds)
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 for stepdown patients and 1:4-6 for floor patients
• Care for typical medical-surgical population including chest pain, COPD, altered mental status, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, and hospice patients
• Manage drips in stepdown area and PCAs, heparin, and other medications on floor
• Must be able to read telemetry strips in conjunction with monitor technicians
• Subject to floating to any floor or stepdown unit as needed
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs
• Use EPIC charting system
• BLS certification required
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• BSN degree not required
• Willing to wait for license if needed
