Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week travel contract
• Night shift position
• Work in both PICU and NICU units
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT, VA license
• Virginia license or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• 2 references required
• Candidates may float within scope if needed
• Required ventilator equipment: Servo I (required), Puritan Bennett (preferred)
• Special procedures include: high risk delivery attendance, external transports with competency assessment, pediatric ED (Level 1 trauma center), heliox use, HFOV, HFJV
• Skills include but are not limited to: BiPAP, HFNC, intubation assist, tracheostomy care/management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, pulmonary hygiene, weaning from mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide, and oral/nasal suctioning
• Natural nail policy in effect
• First-time travelers accepted
