Certified Surgical Technologist in Sault Ste. Marie, MI

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at MyMichigan Health - Sault. This is a temporary position running for 91 days, starting May 11, 2026.

What You'll Do

• Fill the role of surgical technologist in the Operating Room, demonstrating knowledge of surgical procedures and ability to problem-solve during cases
• Verify items on physician preference cards and ensure accurate patient billing
• Assemble and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment in working condition
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist during procedures
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, recognizing and preventing breaks in technique
• Keep accurate account of all medications, sharps, instruments, and sponges
• Set up the sterile field with instruments in a timely manner

Scheduling

You will work 5x8 days per week. The schedule includes 1 night call per week and 1 weekend per 4-week cycle.

What We Need From You

• 3+ years of CST experience
• Experience with Ortho, Sports Medicine, OB/GYN, Ophthalmic, and Urology
• Proficiency with C-Sections
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Current NBSTSA certification
• Skills checklist current within 1 year
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Travel experience preferred

Compensation

You will earn $1,809.22 per week.
