Job Details:

• Work either 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM or 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM shifts with flexibility to work the alternate shift when needed
• Call shifts required with 6 weekend shifts per each 8-week time block including weekends and holidays
• Float to different units as needed
• 3+ years of experience required with previous travel experience mandatory
• CST certification required (unless worked as tech in NY prior to 2015)
• NY state license required in hand to submit
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Work with 12 service lines handling 40-60 cases daily across 13 operating rooms
• Treat patients of all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Extensive surgical skills required including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid procedures, various orthopedic surgeries, neurosurgical procedures, gynecological procedures, and robotic surgery with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Must demonstrate knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes, aseptic technique, sharps safety, and universal protocol procedures
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable)
• Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from facility
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
