Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 day shifts as part of a 48-hour weekly schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 utilizing team nursing model (official ratio 1:12 split between 2 RNs, LPN & Med Nurse)
• Care for adults and geriatrics on a 45-bed unit with daily census of 30-35
• Primary focus on surgical oncology patients with medical oncology and medical-surgical overflow
• Work with patients having central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines)
• Perform wound care, drain management, ostomy care, and Foley catheter care
• Manage PCA pumps and assist with chemotherapy administration (ONS nurses only)
• Handle IV starts, conscious sedation, and chemotherapy administration
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years recent experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted unless 5+ years specialty experience
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Must work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if assignment includes all three
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• May float between like units and campuses within 20-mile radius
