ED Registered Nurse Job in Gadsden, AL

Join Gadsden Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 13-week contract, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,787.04
• Contract duration: 91 days
• Start date: August 24, 2026

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based emergency department patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with Alabama's Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Apply critical thinking skills and clinical judgment to plan safe, effective care delivery
• Assess, prioritize, and delegate patient care responsibilities based on staff qualifications and patient acuity
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education

Requirements

• Current Alabama nursing license with no reportable hits
• 1–2 years of recent emergency department experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Residence at least 50 miles from the facility
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
