PCU Registered Nurse Job in Midland, TX

Midland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a travel nursing position offering 3x12 night shifts at $2,099.52 weekly for a 91-day assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Position Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 24-bed unit with a daily census of 24. Your patient ratio will be 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends. The role includes weekend coverage and some holiday work. You will receive 36 hours of orientation to become familiar with facility protocols and systems.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Documented travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

Clinical Skills & Specialties

You should demonstrate competency in the following areas: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, isolation precautions, cardiac drip management, PCA, peripheral line care, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care, and wound vac management. Experience with post-cardiac procedures, stroke care, traumatic brain injury, and renal failure management is expected.

• Pass on-site drug screen with comprehensive panel testing
• Complete RTO (Return to Operate) requirements
• Submit all required documentation 3 business days prior to start date
