NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every 3rd weekend required with 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• 3 of 6 major holidays required based on unit coverage
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required with at least 2 years of Level 4 experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Cardiac STABLE plus
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Telemetry system: Phillips
• Scrub color: Navy
• Care for complex NICU patients including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling patients
• Float to mother baby and labor care for babies only when needed
• Work alongside Neonatologist and midlevels available 24/7, RT available 24/7, and NICU Pharmacy available during the day
• 1 PCT per shift available as nurse aide support
• 71-bed unit including 17 stepdown beds and 4 private rooms
• Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab required covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• 2-3 days of floor-specific orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
