Registered Nurse - Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool @ University of Virginia Medical Center

Opportunity:

RN - Peds Float Pool Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in a pediatric float pool position
• 36 or 48 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical/surgical, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby
• May be required to float to Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby during staffing crises
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Up to 40 hours time off can be approved
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Must have 2 years PICU experience and NICU experience required
• Must be comfortable with pediatric patients from neonates to 18 years old
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required ($185 cost, can submit pending)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must adhere to facility's float policy
• Virginia nursing license required (can submit with pending license)
• BSN preferred
• Nursys verification required for submission
• 60 hours of orientation with non-billable modules up to 16 hours
