About this role

United Regional is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, offering 4x12 night shifts with a 72-hour biweekly guarantee and weekly pay of $2,799.36.

Role Overview

You will deliver care to patients across all age groups—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—in a Level II Trauma Center. The ED maintains a daily census of 190 patients across 62 rooms with a 4:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends. Block scheduling with weekend coverage is required.

Required Experience & Credentials

  • Minimum 2 years of ED, high-volume, or trauma facility experience (3 years preferred)
  • Prior travel nursing experience required; no first-time travelers
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system
  • Level II Trauma Center experience preferred

Clinical Competencies

You will manage complex acute care, including arterial line and central line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation and placement, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, ABG and dysrhythmia interpretation, dysrhythmia management, IV initiation and maintenance, triage, and multisystem organ dysfunction care.

Support & Resources

You will work alongside an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support.

Orientation & Expectations

The facility provides 48 hours of orientation. You must be prepared to assume full clinical responsibilities and manage the high-acuity patient population characteristic of a Level II Trauma Center.
