Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required in cardiac ICU or pediatric ICU setting
• If PICU primary experience with float to Cardiac ICU, notate frequency in work history
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) - Fridays do not count as weekend
• Float may be required to PICU, NICU, and Med/Surg
• 3 out of every 6 weekends required per contract
• No on-call required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; CCRN preferred
• Care for patients across age groups including neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Patient diagnoses include post-op open hearts, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy/physiology, heart transplant, and heart failure
• Perform and manage invasive cardiac monitoring including CVP, ART, and RA lines
• ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience required
• Administer and manage vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips
• Required skills include arterial line management, central line care, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, and chest tube management required
• Operate specialized equipment including BD and Sigma IV pumps, Philips Monitors, telemetry, Servo ventilators, and POC testing devices
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Average daily census of 21 patients across 32 beds
• First-time travelers accepted
