Job Details:

• Monitor OR supplies and collaborate with the clinical buyer to manage outdated inventory and supplies needed for cases
• Help establish PAR levels and maintain organized supplies
• Collaborate with surgical techs, clinical buyer, and Director to ensure supplies are available for scheduled cases
• Anticipate supply needs by monitoring the OR schedule and coordinating with the Charge Nurse and Director
• Pull instruments and supplies for cases before the day of surgery to improve room turnover
• Assist with improving OR room turnover and be available to pull additional supplies during surgery as needed
• Use pick sheets to ensure correct supplies are pulled and assist with preference card updates
• Assist in Sterile Processing with instrument sterilization as needed
• Participate in Sterile Processing call rotation
• Keep the instrument room organized and maintain inventory rotation
• Demonstrate competency in all Sterile Processing functions including washers, sterilizers, biological testing, indicators, storage, instrument tracking, monthly records, and tray completeness
• Maintain sterile supplies including proper handling and stock rotation
• Understand preference cards and use them to pull the correct instruments and supplies
• Demonstrate proper use of PPE
