CT Technologist Job in Gainesville, FL

UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a CT Technologist for a 140-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 hour day shifts, scheduled Friday through Monday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Weekly pay is $2,912. Assignment begins November 23, 2026.

About the Role

You will perform CT scans for diagnosis and treatment at a Level 1 trauma center and accredited stroke center. Your patient population includes adults and pediatrics. Case types span trauma, stroke, oncology, MSK, bariatric, burns, cardiac, multiphase, and volumetric scans. You may be required to assist with patient transport from the ED to CT.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scanning protocols across diverse case types
• Place IVs and administer IV contrast
• Operate Canon/Toshiba scanners and Bayer contrast injectors
• Float as needed across departments
• Support on-call requirements as requested
• Assist with patient transport when needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of CT Tech experience
• Inpatient hospital experience with emphasis on ED experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke programs
• Recent hands-on experience with Canon/Toshiba scanners
• IV placement and IV contrast administration experience
• POC testing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• CT certification by ARRT and/or NMTCB
• Florida DOH license required at time of submission
• Familiarity with EPIC (Radiant) EMR system

This is a block schedule assignment with holidays and weekends required. Charge role is not required. You must be open to floating and available for on-call requests as needed.
