Respiratory Therapist Job in Brandon, FL

You'll provide specialized respiratory care in a 36-bed Level 3 NICU at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning January 20, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Your weekly pay is $1,576.80.

Your Clinical Responsibilities:

• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate respiratory support
• Manage conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Administer surfactant and nitric oxide therapy
• Acquire and interpret blood gases
• Operate Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A Oscillators, Mallinckrodt Nitric Oxide delivery systems, and Vapotherms
• Document care using Meditech and NeoNotes EMR systems

Requirements:

• Level 3 NICU experience required (or 3–5 years Level 2 NICU experience considered)
• NRP certification required
• STABLE certification preferred

What to Expect:

You'll typically work alongside one other respiratory therapist per shift to cover the unit during peak volumes. The unit maintains consistent staffing of two RRTs per shift. Your role demands critical thinking, independent decision-making, attention to detail, and a positive approach to patient care.

Facility Details:

Parking is available in the hospital garage (3rd floor and up) for day-shift staff, or across the street at Oak Field Medical Plaza for night-shift staff. Respiratory therapy staff wear grey scrubs.
