CVOR RN Job in Wichita, KS

Join Wesley Medical Center in Wichita as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN. This 91-day travel position offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on a 4x10 schedule, with weekly pay of $2,336.

Role Overview

You will provide direct perioperative nursing care in our cardiovascular surgery program, which includes an active ECMO program. Work with 1:1 patient ratios across two dedicated heart rooms, with a third room available as needed. You'll collaborate with a team of 4 RNs and 3 Certified Surgical Technologists to deliver quality patient care and support.

Procedures and Experience

This position involves common cardiovascular procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR. You'll use the Meditech EMR/CPN system for documentation and care coordination. Experience with open heart surgery and cardiovascular nursing is preferred.

Schedule and On-Call

Day shifts only—no night shift coverage required. On-call duties include one weeknight per week and one weekend per month. This allows for predictable daytime work with limited after-hours commitments.

Requirements

• Active Kansas RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care CVOR RN hospital experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
