ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - OR ICU/SICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 12-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Standard ICU patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients, adjusted based on acuity
• Participative scheduling with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts per month required
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Must be available to float to other units within the facility including PCU and Medical Surgical units
• Designated critical care staff respond to rapid responses and code blue situations
• Utilize standard critical care equipment including Impella heart pump and Hemosphere advanced monitoring platform
• Document using Meditech electronic documentation system
• Must have cardiac critical care experience
• Ability to care for post open heart surgery patients minimum 1 to 2 days post-op required
• Experience with Impella heart pump and CRRT is a plus
• Perform procedures including intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; CCRN is a plus
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
