Med Surg RN Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment on the Medical-Surgical unit. You'll work day shifts as part of a dynamic inpatient nursing team.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12.5-hour days from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Assignment length: 91 days, starting February 16, 2026
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on the general medical-surgical inpatient unit
• Floating and call responsibilities required
• Census flex on-call may be required prior to scheduled shift if census is low

Requirements

• RN license (current and unrestricted)
• 2 or more years of nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Fingerprint clearance required for all New Mexico travelers

Facility Information

• EMR system: MedHost
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated (include in submittal)

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $1,782
• 48-hour guarantees are not approved
