About this role
URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a 10-hour shift role in Interventional Radiology. This 89-week travel assignment begins July 6, 2026, and offers $3,003 weekly pay. You will work four 10-hour shifts per week totaling 40 hours, with weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities as needed by the unit.
About the Role
You will provide specialized nursing care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing image-guided interventional procedures. Your responsibilities include patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery management. You will support a range of procedures including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements. You will also manage post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) recovery and extended stay (23-hour) recovery responsibilities.
As a critical team member, you will participate in rapid response for trauma embolization cases and collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. This role requires strong critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Minimum 1 year recent interventional radiology nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
Working Conditions
You will wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops in all procedural areas. Additional infection prevention measures will be required when clinically indicated. You will be expected to adhere to all facility safety and infection control protocols.
