PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday
• Patient ratios of 2:1 in phase 1 and 3:1 in phase 2
• Required to perform both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery duties
• Float to PreOp and Phase 2 as needed
• Work with patients undergoing elective surgery including plastics, breast reconstruction, orthopedics, general surgery, colorectal surgery, women's surgery, and urology
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Weekday call coverage from 8:30 PM to 8:00 AM Monday through Friday on rotating roster
• Weekend call coverage Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM on rotating roster
• Amount of call based on team size
• Must wear navy scrubs
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1-2 years nursing experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required
• PACU experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Must be engaged and willing to learn new skill sets as campus undergoes changes
