PCU RN Job in Wausau, WI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 22, 2026. You will work the night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $2,246.94 weekly.

In this role, you will provide intermediate-level care for patients transitioning between critical care and general medical units. You will monitor and care for patients requiring progressive care supervision, supporting their clinical stability and recovery as they step down from intensive care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the Intermediate Care Step Down Unit
• Monitor patients and respond to changes in clinical status
• Float as needed to all inpatient units within Aspirus Wausau Hospital
• May float to sister facilities within the designated region as staffing needs arise
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient transitions and optimal outcomes

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact State License
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Flexibility to float across multiple inpatient units
