Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PCU Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Every other weekend requirement<br>• Every third holiday requirement<br>• No call or standby requirements<br>• Patient ratio of 1:4-5<br>• Fast-paced progressive care unit with 35 beds<br>• Care for adults and geriatrics including cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring patients<br>• Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications<br>• May float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units<br>• First week onboarding followed by 1-2 days floor orientation<br>• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS<br>• BSN not required<br>• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination<br>• Driver's license required at submittal<br>• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility<br>• EPIC charting system<br>• Successful candidates demonstrate positive attitude, communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a 35-bed progressive care unit providing intermediate-level care between intensive care and general medical floors. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center offering acute care services with comprehensive cardiac, neurological, and nephrology programs.
