Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with 1:5-6 patient ratio (32 beds total)
• Weekend coverage required - typically every other weekend, approximately 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Holiday work required - if 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, must work all; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, must work 2
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 36 hours orientation with non-billable modules completed during orientation
• Call requirements are rare with 2-hour response time
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 1 year experience required, prior travel experience mandatory
• Must have experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population with overflow IMCU patients
• Manage patients with arrhythmia, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal issues, pulmonary conditions, post cardiac cath, TR bands, DKA
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Epic charting system preferred, also uses Pyxis and SBAR
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
