Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU Neuro</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting for patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex<br>• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients in the neurological intensive care unit<br>• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments<br>• Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments<br>• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe manifestations and intervene when necessary<br>• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products<br>• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge<br>• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel<br>• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed<br>• 1 year of nursing experience required<br>• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required<br>• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred<br>• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required<br>• Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required<br>• ACLS (American Heart Association) required<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills needed<br>• Computer skills required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and specialized care.
